What are branding workshops?
Branding workshops are intensive, interactive sessions in which your team works directly with us to define or refine your brand’s identity, positioning, and communication. They are more than discussions, presentations, or creative exercises without a clear purpose. They are key moments when we organise ideas, align internal perspectives, and build a clear brand strategy together
A workshop gives you more than a strategy on paper. It gives you a direction developed and agreed on together. It is a participatory process built around thoughtful questions, relevant exercises, and decisions everyone commits to. By the end, uncertainty gives way to clarity.
Why do you need a branding workshop?
In branding, confusion is costly. It costs time and money, leads to missed opportunities, and leaves teams without a shared direction. If you do not know who you are as a brand, who you are speaking to, what message you are communicating, or how you are perceived, you risk becoming generic, irrelevant, or simply forgotten.
A branding workshop helps when:
- Your team is not aligned on the brand’s positioning.
- You want to rebrand but do not have a clear direction.
- You are launching a new brand and want to build a solid foundation, beyond a logo.
- Your current communication is no longer delivering results.
- You want to create a coherent identity that reflects the reality of your business.
It is also a way to internal alignment within the company. Your team learns what it is building, why it matters, and how to put the agreed direction into practice.
Who are branding workshops for?
Our branding workshops are designed for:
- Founders and leadership teams who help shape the brand’s strategic direction.
- Marketing teams that need greater clarity in communication.
- Brands going through a period of transition, growth, or repositioning.
- Entrepreneurs who want to build a strong brand from the ground up.
- Companies that feel their brand no longer reflects their current business or ambitions.
Ideally, 2–6 team members who are directly involved in decision-making should take part. We keep groups focused and actively engaged: the aim is dialogue, not a presentation to a room of passive participants.
What do you gain from branding workshops?
By the end of the process, you have:
- A clear understanding of your brand’s identity.
- A well-defined strategic positioning that is easy to communicate.
- A defined ideal audience and clear differentiation from competitors.
- An agreed tone of voice and key messages.
- A solid foundation for your visual identity, website, campaigns, and internal communication.
- Concise documents you can use internally or share with external partners.
It is more than a discussion. We build something together that can then guide rebranding, design, campaigns, or naming.

How our branding workshops are structured
The process is divided into three modules, each made up of several working sessions:
Workshop 1 – Brand Discovery
We begin by exploring what truly defines your brand. We look beyond what you want to say to establish what you need to say to be relevant and distinctive.
Together, we work on:
- Strategic positioning: what you promise, what you offer, and how you are perceived.
- Choosing a brand archetype: a symbolic metaphor that guides the communication style, such as the Sage, Rebel, or Caregiver.
- Defining customer personas: who your ideal audience is, what they want, what obstacles they face, and how they make decisions.
- Competitor analysis: using style boards prepared in advance, we discuss the messages, imagery, and tone of the most relevant competitors.
- Identifying the USP: the unique advantage your brand can offer that is easy to understand and impossible to copy.
The result is a set of clear directions, agreed through discussion and voting, that allows us to define a distinctive strategic positioning.
Workshop 2 – Brand Elements
At this stage, we build the core of your brand’s identity. We keep the discussion practical and free of jargon, focusing on what matters and expressing it clearly and coherently.
We work on:
- The brand pyramid: promise, functional benefits, emotional benefits, and differentiators.
- Clarifying the foundations: purpose, mission, vision, principles, and authentic values.
- Writing a complete brand description that brings together everything we have discovered so far.
- Defining the brand’s personality: its voice, how it expresses itself, and what it feels like to interact with it.
- The uniqueness statement: a memorable sentence that captures the brand’s essence and what sets it apart.
The resulting document becomes the reference point for everything that follows: naming, design, copywriting, and training.
Workshop 3 – Brand Communication
An identity is of little use without communication. In this module, we clearly define how the brand speaks and what it consistently communicates.
Together, we work through:
- Voice Chart – a guide to the brand’s voice and tone, with examples of what to communicate and what to avoid.
- Key Messaging – we define 3–5 core messages to communicate consistently across all channels.
- Brand Ethos – we build the desired brand perception through a visual exercise: a word cloud expressing feelings, emotions, and reactions.
- Strategy Review – we present a structured document bringing together everything we have developed.
- Naming exercise (optional) – if needed, we explore name ideas together that align with the brand’s positioning and values.
This final session brings everything together. It is the point at which the brand takes shape fully: strategically, emotionally, and practically.
How the branding workshops work
Workshops can take place in person, at your office or a dedicated venue, or online via Zoom or Google Meet, depending on your preferences and availability.
We work with a range of teams, with active participation from everyone involved. Each session lasts 3–4 hours and is guided step by step through exercises, questions, and shared decisions.
Between sessions, we allow time for reflection, gather feedback, and adjust the direction where needed. The process is flexible and responsive.
What you receive at the end
- A complete strategy document, written and presented in a format that is easy to understand and use.
- A voice chart and clearly defined key messages.
- A word cloud capturing the feelings and emotions you want the brand to evoke.
- A uniqueness statement and a complete brand description.
- Optional naming proposals.
- PDF documentation that your internal teams and external partners can use.
Everything is tailored to your brand, developed together, and easy to use and implement.
Branding workshops timeline
Our branding workshops are an integral part of our branding and rebranding process.
The time spent in workshops depends on the scope of the project and how much time your team can dedicate to the sessions. We need at least one day, while some projects require three to five days of workshops, scheduled around your team’s availability.
After the sessions, we need additional time to bring together and analyse the information, organise the findings, and develop the strategic direction. The workshop days are therefore one part of the overall timeline, which we agree with you at the start of the project.
Tailored workshops for in-house teams
We also offer standalone workshops tailored to companies with in-house marketing and brand management teams that need help with a specific challenge.
These sessions can address unclear or inconsistent messages, communication difficulties, or a lack of alignment around the brand’s positioning, voice, or priorities.
We start by discussing the challenges with your team and reviewing the relevant materials. We then design the workshop around the issues identified, with focused exercises and discussions that help us explore solutions together.
After the workshop, we bring the findings together into a set of practical recommendations, proposed solutions, and clear next steps for your team to implement.
The scope, format, timeline, and fee are agreed according to your team’s needs and the problem we will address.
It is time to move forward with clarity
A branding workshop is a practical step towards a coherent, well-positioned, memorable brand that is easy to communicate. If your team has good ideas but struggles to articulate them clearly, if you want to stand apart, or if you simply want to start with a solid foundation, you are in the right place.
